•   'AMATEUR PORN STAR KILLER 3' RELEASE DATE CHANGE  
The release date for "Amateur Porn Star Killer 3: The Final Chapter" has been changed from December 9 to January 13, 2009. The last installment of the APSK hit series is available for pre-order, with posters, pictures, trailers and more over at the official page:

The series stars real-life porn star Regan Reese (http://www.clubreganreese.com) this time around (not an "amateur"), and director Shane Ryan confirms this is definitely the last, as far as the serious mockumentary goes. The APSK films already have a parody due out early next year, and Ryan says there are possible plans to make a film about the lead serial killer character, "Brandon", in a more traditional narrative form. "But I'm glad to be done with the actual trilogy", admits Ryan, who was never even a big fan of the horror genre to begin with.

•   TRIBUTE TO BORIS KARLOFF RELEASED FOR THE FIRST TIME ON DVD  
In the 100-year+ history of cinema, there have been few groundbreaking performers who managed to both create unforgettable works and influence an entire industry in the process. In the worlds of film, TV, recordings and Broadway combined, there have been
even fewer people who have gone beyond those qualifications in their ultimate impact. Without question, foremost among these very special individuals is Boris Karloff, who, in addition to dominating every field he entered as a genuine star, is one of the true masters of 20th century horror. Now, for the first time on DVD, a heartfelt tribute to this great man has at last been released by Smash Vision.

Billed as “one man’s quest to resurrect the true king of horror,” KREATING KARLOFF is actor Connor Timmis’ personal journey to conjure Karloff through recreating two of his greatest triumphs: The Mummy and Frankenstein. Using detailed special makeup techniques by lauded East Coast makeup effects artist Norman Bryn, KREATING KARLOFF accurately depicts Timmis in recreated versions of The Mummy’s Ardath Bey and Frankenstein’s Monster. In fact, Bryn utilized many of the same makeup processes first
undertaken by makeup legend Jack Pierce to transform Karloff in his greatest films. From the additionally detailed casting and set designs in the two vignettes, KREATING KARLOFF is undoubtedly a film BY Karloff fans FOR Karloff fans world over. As any real fans will attest, the icing on the cake in KREATING KARLOFF might be that co-star Liesl Ehardt, who portrays Zita Johann in the Mummy scenes, is an actual cousin of the great Romanian-born Johann herself!

Set a couple week's after the outbreak in the original 1968 film, the story revolves around the inhabitants of an isolated island off the North American coast, who find their relatives rising from the dead to eat their kin. •   'NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: RESURRECTION' IN THE WORKS  
Horror filmmaker Matt Cloude will take over the Night of the Living Dead movie franchise, beginning 2009. Night of the Living Dead:Resurrection will begin filming May '09 after filming Midnight in the Mortuary starring Monique Dupree, Conrad Brooks, and Devanny Pinn. Night of the Living Dead is NOT A REMAKE!!!! It is a prequel told through the eyes of the original characters.

Matt Cloude has been called upon to bring Night of the Living Dead, one of most recognizable films in history, out of it's cinematic crypt.  Dark Cloude Productions announced that Cloude (whose directorial credits include The Creightonville Terror and FX artist on John Johnson's Skeleton Key series and Triad) will write, direct, and act as musical supervisor, and Special FX supervisor for the new Night of the Living Dead. Set for production May 2009, the film will not pick up where the last installment left off.  Instead, the film will be an entirely new take and reimagining on the Living Dead legend and mythology.

The film is titled: "Night of the Living Dead:Resurrection".

•   'ZOMBIE ALLEGIANCE' TRAILER

•   'OF DARKNESS' TO BE MADE AVAILABLE ON DVD FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31!  
That’s right horror fans, Halloween marks the spot for “Of Darkness”, the award-winning horror short from Eventide Productions.  

Since 2006 “Of Darkness” has been taking the horror film festival circuit by storm. Having been accepted as an ‘Official Selection’ by more than twenty festivals, the film garnered ten “Best Short Film” nominations and won more than half of those nods, bringing home SIX BEST SHORT FILM awards. The little film with the heart of a feature didn’t stop there - it also took home awards for most “Most Promising Filmmaker”, “Best Cinematography”, and “Audience Award for Best Short Film”!
